CLAY J GLADSTONE With New Track

 

Following on from the warmly-received release of “Sorry” Sydney-based punk rock group Clay J Gladstone return with their enthralling new single “Balance”, the first cut from their upcoming debut EP titled Dead Friends.

 

Featuring infectious guitars, imposing drums, and a spirited melody delivered by frontman Clay J, the track flirts with intensity before launching a full-sized thunderous chorus complete with colossal instrumentation and gritty vocals.

Review: ACOLYTE ‘Entropy’

 

Acolyte’s second studio album Entropy, is a mostly straight-ahead 4/4 progressive sounding adventure that suffers from the occasional instrumentation problem with the keyboard (either outdated synths, or poor sounding strings), and occasionally coming across like the soundtrack to Elder Scrolls volume 28 : The Hobbitses Rise Again (obviously and particularly the track “Resilience”)

 

That’s not to say it isn’t worth a listen or ten, and I’m guessing that they would be pretty outstanding to see live.

FEAR FACTORY Enter A New Stage Of Existence

 

Normally when Fear Factory announce a record the spotlight is solely on that body of work and what delights fans can expect from it, but with the recent announcement of the bands latest album Aggression Continuum the news also broke that this would be vocalist Burton. C. Bell’s final album as frontman for the legendary band.

 

Guitarist, songwriter and founding member Dino Cazares joined HEAVY for a chat during the week about a myriad of topics, starting with the musical direction of the new album.

Sydney psychedelic outfit Grinding Eyes are almost ready to drop their second album Taste The Monochrome.

 

Described as ‘a uniquely dark yet driving experience, Taste The Monochrome is a journey through themes of love, loss, isolation, despair and time travel, set to an ominous soundtrack of psych-rock and shoegaze bound together with luscious atmospherics,’ and is an album set to build on the early good work of the band.

CRYPTA Drop Tune

 

Brazilian / Dutch death metal unit Crypta is ready for another round-house kick and unveils their second single “Starvation” off their upcoming debut album, along with an official lyric video.

 

Their long awaited first full-length Echoes Of The Soul will be released on June 11  via Napalm Records.
